A month ago This place recently opened and I am so happy I stopped in on a whim. They served me a delicious home-brewed coffee that was subtly spiced, very good. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and wow, I can’t remember the last time a breakfast staple surprised me. The waffles were made with sugar pearls, the fried chicken was crunchy and juicy, and the maple syrup had aromas of spiced rum, and it was HOT. So few bousie places in Chicago get this dish right, yet this hole-in-the-wall establishment has mastered it.
